Kingborough offers a wonderful family lifestyle, including quality educational facilities, sporting and recreational services, service clubs and shopping centres.An exciting opportunity exists for a Kingborough Sports Precinct Manager to join the management team at Kingborough Council. This key management position is responsible for the efficient operation and strategic development of the Kingborough Sports Centre and the surrounding precinct.The Kingborough Sports Centre is operated by the Kingborough Council and offers a wide range of recreational facilities including a well-equipped fitness centre, aerobics room, sports stadiums, squash courts and gymnastics facilities. The precinct is home to thirty-three different user groups, including the Tasmanian Jack Jumpers basketball team and has been selected for the development of the Tasmanian Devils High Performance Training Centre.As the successful candidate, you will have:Qualifications and/or experience relevant to the management of sporting facilities;Demonstrated ability to develop a strong performance culture and provide strategic leadership within a team environment.Strong relationship management skills and the ability to work with a broad range of stakeholders.Further details:An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated including the private use of a motor vehicle, 12.5% superannuation and a rostered day off each month.
