This team provides specialist compliance expertise to the Customer Business Unit, supporting effective compliance management and ensuring EnergyAustralias regulatory obligations, governance systems, processes, and frameworks meet both industry standards and customer expectations. And this is where you come in!About the RoleWe have an exciting opportunity to join our Customer Compliance Performance Team, as our Compliance Assurance Leader. In this role, you will set the strategic direction for control testing and quality assurance, ensuring compliance risks are effectively identified, assessed, and addressed. The role drives continuous improvement and innovation in assurance practices, enabling clear visibility of compliance performance and strengthening risk management across the Customer Business Unit. Other aspects of the role include:Deliver the compliance assurance strategy and annual assurance plansLead the design and implementation of the compliance assurance frameworkOversee the planning, execution, and reporting of assurance activities to evaluate the effectiveness of compliance controls across operationsDrive uplift in control design and execution through targeted insights and recommendationsEffectively lead the Compliance Assurance team in accordance with the Energy Australia Ways of WorkingAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will be a dedicated leader with considerable experience in a compliance, risk, or assurance-related role, with a proven track record of managing compliance assurance activities. Other things were keen on include:Demonstrated ability to lead a high performing teamStrong understanding of regulatory frameworks, compliance controls, and risk management practices, particularly within the industryHands-on experience designing and overseeing control testing and quality assurance programs, with a solid understanding of risk management frameworks and methodologiesStrong analytical & problem-solving skills, with the ability to formulate, synthesise and analyse compliance data and provide meaningful advice and insightsAdaptable and proactive, ready to tackle challenges with a continuous improvement mindsetWhy Us?Were committed to providing an inclusive culture so our people can bring their whole selves to work and have a sense of belonging.
