This role plays a key part in shaping safety initiatives as well as monitoring safety performance.We are looking for a proactive and results-driven safety professional with a strong background in mining or logistics. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy problem-solving, and have a passion for driving efficiency and safety. Your ability to engage stakeholders and optimise processes will be key to success in this role.Key responsibilities include:Collaborate with corporate teams to align safety strategies across the businessProvide practical safety advice, coaching and support to leadersPromote a positive safety culture and implement safety improvement plansParticipate in project teams to support safety-related initiatives and change managementMonitor compliance with safety standards and conduct assurance activitiesLead or support investigations and reporting of workplace incidentsDeliver insights and reports for internal and external stakeholdersChampion Aurizons values and foster a culture of safety and high performanceAbout You:Youre a confident communicator with a keen eye for operational detail and the ability to influence and build trust with contractors and stakeholders alike. You thrive in dynamic environments and are committed to maintaining safety, performance and compliance.To succeed in this role, youll bring:Cert IV in Workplace Health and Safety (mandatory)Background in mining, logistics or heavy industryStrong understanding of safety principles and practicesUnderstanding of WHS, HVNL, RSNL and DG legislationExcellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skillsA current open C Class Drivers Licence, and comfortable with regular travel between operational sitesWhat we offer you:At Aurizon, we support the development and growth of our employees.
