Our focus is on Pork, Beef and Veal, which is supplied through 5 different brands.We are seeking an experienced and passionate Quality Assurance Officer to join our team in Thomastown. The role will report directly to the Quality Assurance Manager.Key Areas Of ResponsibilitiesDaily monitoring and assessing of ingredients and meat product at delivery, processing and storage to ensure its consistent and it complies with specificationAbility to rapidly understand the Quality Management system and applicationPre-operations checks is conducted when starting at 5:30am dailyComplete paperwork accurately on real time effectivelyEnsure all product are produced within product specification and customers requirementsCheck daily Cut specification of meat product prior to packagingEffectively liaises with production manager and supervisor for any non-conformancesCollect random samples from production to analyze or evaluate the samples to make sure they meet specificationsConduct CL testing, Air Analysis and Product sensory evaluation of product on real time and effectively liaise with productionEnsure Food Safety, Food Quality and Packaging are within specificationsFollow the site Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ensure all are following the correct GMP policyFollow the site Good Hygiene Practices (GHP) and ensure all are following the correct GHP policiesConduct Line clearance during product change overMonitor the Chiller storage space and ensure FIFO or FEFO (first expiring first out) rotation principle is usedBefore unloading materials, inspect the condition of the trailer.
