About The RoleThis is a fantastic opportunity to grow as a leader in the thriving leisure and recreation industry. In this key role, youll provide direction and day-to-day support to our lifeguard and aquatic teams, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and high-quality experience for all community members at one of our largest and busiest centres.As Aquatic Team Leader, youll play a key hands-on role in keeping our pool deck running smoothly and safely. Youll directly supervise our Lifeguard team and act as the vital link between our Leisure Services Officers and Coordinators. With the support of the Centre Manager at Norlane ARC, youll help drive the day-to-day success of our aquatic operationsensuring everything runs efficiently, our staff are supported, and our community enjoys a positive and safe experience every time they visit.Work type: Permanent full-time opportunity.Classification: Band 4 Commencing at $71,647.33 pa plus superKey responsibilities include:Assist the Centre Manager, Assistant Manager & Aquatic Operations Coordinator with the daily operations of the Aquatics facilities including plant and pool maintenance, staff supervision, customer service, and safety of staff and patronsProvide leadership to a team of lifeguards to ensure the delivery of high-quality customer service to patrons using the Aquatic areas of the centre.Perform the role of both lifeguard and senior lifeguard on a regular basis.Ensure that pool equipment, water quality of the swimming pools and surrounds are always maintained and in appropriate condition.Assist in the development and management of Aquatic staff rosters to ensure that all operational needs are planned for.About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have you will have relevant skills and knowledge through previous work experience and or training.Essential Experience:Level 2 First Aid Award.Pool Lifeguard Award.Current working with Childrens Check.Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check and a pre-employment medical assessment as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City).If this sounds like the role for you, then click apply now!Child Safety ResponsibilitiesWe are committed to being a child-safe organisation and have zero-tolerance for child abuse.
