Assistant Director - Health Policy and Assurance BranchAssistant Director - Health Policy and Assurance Branch4 days ago Be among the first 25 applicantsGet AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features.Chief Operating Officer Group | Chief Operating Officer Group | Chief Medical Officer | Health Policy and Assurance BranchThe Health Policy and Assurance Branch has a broad range of responsibilities including:development and maintenance of migration and detention health policies, both operational and strategicmanagement of the Department''s network of panel clinics both within Australia and overseas that provide immigration health screening to Australian visa applicantsmonitoring of migration health systems such as e-Medical, HAP and Haplite, including technical submissions and ICT change requests and providing helpdesk and system support to users of these systems, which includes visa-processing officers, Migration Five partners who also utilise e-Medical, along with and State and Territory health clinics and settlement service providers.Our ideal candidateThe Ideal Candidates Will Be Able ToProvide program management and operational support to the work of their team and the broader Branch. Their areas of responsibility could be health systems, assurance and panel management and/or policy developmentHave a proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and with the ability to be a positive leader within the BranchHave a demonstrated ability to provide strategic and operational adviceWork independently to achieve outcomesHave a proven ability to produce high quality written submissions, minutes, briefs and reports.Duties and responsibilitiesLead and oversee program management responsibilities including engaging extensively with staff and stakeholders to ensure that operational priorities are met and managedProvide positive leadership and guidance to their team and be a team player in what is a dynamic environment, with the ability to work independently on a multiple of projects or pieces of workProfessionally represent the section and maintain stakeholder relationships with internal and external providers/contractors/stakeholdersPrepare high-quality written reports, briefs, technical submissions and ICT change requests, memorandums of understandings and other documents for a range of audiences and stakeholders on complex health policy and assurance mattersInterpret relevant policies and procedures to assist in the development of technically accurate communication products.Additional informationWe offer flexible work arrangements however successful candidates will need to work from the office for part of each week.
