While WFH/Hybrid options are available, it is essential that the successful applicant maintains a presence at Doncaster in line with our hybrid working model.About The RoleReporting to the Principal Psychologist, this role will support the delivery of a Randomised Control Trial comparing the efficacy of Eye Movement Desensitisation (EMDR) and Psychosocial Skills Training in the prevention of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in paramedics. Responsibilities include but not limited to:Provide EMDR treatment to participants in the trialProvide clinical services and support programs, develop strategic initiatives and implement policy and projects to support evidence based clinical outcomes for AV employees and their familiesAnalyse data to inform the ongoing focus on early intervention and preventative programsProvide authoritative clinical advice, deliver training and psychological assessments, crisis interventions and critical incident support where requiredWork closely with the Victorian Ambulance Clinicians Unit (VACU), Peer Support, Pastoral Care and the Health and Safety teamAbout YouThe ideal applicant will be a registered psychologist with advanced training in EMDR or accreditation as an EMDR practitioner. Harnessing your exceptional communication and relationship building skills, you will be proactive in providing advice and consulting with managers and staff on managing psychological health issues in the workplace.With the foresight to make effective and informed decisions, problem solve and prioritise work in high pressure situations, the successful applicant will also possess demonstrated experience in delivering a high level of customer service in complex and dynamic operational organisations.Applicants will possess advanced computer skills and will be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite and relevant software applications.Finally, candidates must be required to be available outside of ordinary working hours to frequently provide advice, support or intervene and manage emergency or time critical incidents or issues.
