Our goal is to foster an environment of learning and development, leading to an engaged, motivated, high-performing team committed to excellent client service.Essential Job Functions OverviewUnder general supervision, performs skilled and semi-skilled maintenance and repair work, requiring knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, and minor electrical work. Performs custodial and grounds care, and other related work as required. Strives to create a healing environment that respects the perspectives and experiences of the individuals, families, staff, and communities we serve, practicing safe and respectful communication and respecting individual boundaries.Essential Job FunctionsPerform general maintenance duties as assigned.Document work and expenses in the electronic work order system.Oversee and accompany contractors during repairs.Repair and maintain building interiors, including machinery, plumbing, appliances, and electrical fixtures, following blueprints, manuals, and codes.Perform grounds maintenance such as mowing, trimming, weeding, pruning, and watering.Handle snow removal and deicing during inclement weather.Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas.Maintain tools and equipment in safe, good condition; operate maintenance equipment safely.Perform routine plumbing repairs and carpentry work.Move, assemble, and rearrange furniture and fixtures.Replace light bulbs and perform minor electrical repairs.Repair glass and screens.Assist in moving heavy appliances and equipment.Handle and store chemicals and cleaning supplies per regulations.Attend required training and safety programs.Follow company policies, safety regulations, and OSHA requirements.Perform other tasks as assigned.Be available for on-call duties as needed.Education and ExperienceCombination of education and experience providing the required knowledge; valid NYS Drivers License required.KnowledgeKnowledge of custodial operations, building and grounds maintenance, landscaping, and safe work practices. Skilled in using tools and materials for building, maintenance, and repair.Skills and AbilitiesAbility to perform facility maintenance, interpret information, follow instructions, develop maintenance schedules, analyze situations, communicate effectively, prioritize tasks, and use software. Skilled in using hand tools, with strong organizational and time management skills. Capable of working independently and professionally around individuals with mental illness.Physical Requirements and Working ConditionsAbility to lift at least 50 pounds and move supplies and equipment weighing up to 100 pounds.
