Responsibilities include:Develop our public sector sales strategy and delivery to increase sales volume and market share.Identify and execute opportunities in government-led projects focusing on payment flows, data, and growth priorities.Lead RFP responses and commercial deals with cross-functional teams.Engage with partners such as issuers, acquirers, fintechs, and enablers to strengthen Visas government solutions.Develop innovative strategies in collaboration with Visa teams to meet government client needs.Work closely with the Government Engagement team to build relationships with key public sector stakeholders and align outreach strategies.Partner with marketing to position Visa as a leader in payments and a resource for government agencies.Regularly review market landscape and develop new approaches for growth.Why this is important to Visa:This role is part of a global initiative to develop new strategic business areas. Governments are increasingly involved in payments and innovation, such as CBDCs and open data, supporting economic recovery and digitalization efforts.What you will need:12+ years experience in government or public sector sales management within payments/financial services.Active network in the Australian public sector, ideally including New Zealand and South Pacific.Deep understanding of public sector operations, procurement, and contracting.Strong collaboration skills to manage relationships and lead internal teams.Business development and consultative sales experience.Knowledge of government payment flows and financial acumen.Negotiation skills for business agreements.What will also help:Experience servicing government clients and projects.Expertise in public sector payments infrastructure.Solutions-focused mindset and interest in emerging topics like CBDCs and open banking.Strong presentation skills for senior stakeholders.Visa is an EEO Employer.
