We are seeking a casual Sterilisation Technician to join Northern Beaches Hospital.You will make an impact by undertaking general and specialised duties in disinfection and sterilisation of instruments from the Interventional Suite, other specialised clinics and wards across the hospital.As the Sterilisation Services Instrument Technicianyour responsibilities will include:Thermal disinfection, functionality checks/inspection, packaging and sterilisation of all instrumentation for the theatres and other clinical areasComply with AS 5369:2023 standards, Infection Control policy, GENCA guidelines and other statutory requirementsOperate, monitor, interpret and document all equipment reprocessing requirementsReport and document all quality activitiesEnsure prioritisation of instrumentation and processesMaintain the SSD area and equipment in accordance withStandardsActively participate in the quality improvement initiatives and risk management activitiesAssist with management of general stock.Northern Beaches Hospital is a fully licensed private hospital, providing care to public and private patients from an outstanding facility with a large range of quality services provided by exceptional nurses, doctors and staff. The SSD contains state of the art equipment and provides a contemporary sterile processing service for surgical equipment.
