Based in Sydney, this is a key strategic hire as the firm expands its investment activity across Australia''s Eastern Seaboard.The OpportunityAs the Investment Manager - Origination, you will be responsible for identifying, originating, and executing Real Estate Credit Investment opportunities across a variety of asset classes and capital structures. Youll be reporting into the Head of Property Finance and working closely with the rest of the senior leadership and investment committees, playing a pivotal role in driving the firms growth and executing its investment strategy.The firm has grown its AUM to $500m by strategically alligning itself with reliable, proven sponsors. The firm is proud to have repeat customers. As a firm, most deals sit within $10 - $35m in size. The successful candidate will be comfortable adding value within this space.Key ResponsibilitiesSource and originate high-quality real estate equity and structured finance opportunities.Build and maintain deep relationships with developers, brokers, capital partners, and other market participants.Lead end-to-end deal execution, including underwriting, structuring, negotiation, and due diligence.Provide strategic input into market expansion, asset allocation, and capital deployment decisions.Act as a senior representative of the fund in the Australian market.Candidate Profile8+ years experience in real estate private credit, structured finance, or real estate banking.Proven track record of originating and executing real estate transactions in AustraliaStrong network of industry contacts and a deep understanding of the local real estate landscape.Commercially astute, analytically strong, and able to operate with a high degree of autonomy.Entrepreneurial, collaborative, and motivated to help scale a growing investment platform.This is a rare opportunity to join a dynamic and growth-oriented firm with significant dry powder, a clear investment mandate, and a commitment to long-term value creation.To explore this opportunity in confidence, please contact Joel Eve at Roundtree Search.Roundtree Search is here to be your competitive advantage as you navigate commercial real estate in Australia.
