We are dedicated to offering culturally sensitive and comprehensive support to Aboriginal people. CAAAPU provides a pathway to recovery and independence through tailored rehabilitation programmes.As a local Indigenous organisation we are a centre for empowerment and a place of health and healing. CAAAPU is situated 7 minutes from town on a large beautifully landscaped property. We boast a welcoming and professional staff.About the OpportunityCAAAPU invites applications for Casual Cook to provide comfort food for to up to 30 residents for their evening meal. The hours are Monday to Friday 3.30 - 7.30pm.Key responsibilities include:Preparation and service of meals to residentsCarry out duties in accordance with CAAAPU''s safety policy, safety principles, corporate values and strategies.Ensure that adequate supplies of foodstuffs are properly protected and conserved.Ensure the kitchen meets the requirements of the Australian Food Safety Assessment.Must be able to work with minimal supervisionAbout YouThe ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year experience as a Chef / Cook and / or have formal culinary training or relevant qualifications. Have experience maintaining food safety and kitchen hygiene practices.
