With over 700 dedicated professionals across Brisbane and regional offices, we work tirelessly to ensure that Queensland''s communities, businesses, and water resources thrive.The RoleYou will collaborate across the department, other agencies, external businesses and community organisations to advocate for the priorities of the volunteering sector and acknowledging the challenges faced by the sector in recruiting and retaining volunteers.Key AccountabilitiesSupport the Director, Volunteering Policy and Engagement to lead a team by providing operational human resource and team management support.Provide leadership, guidance and advice on best practice stakeholder engagement, facilitation and partnership building approaches that are inclusive of diverse perspectives, to support delivery to communities.Work collaboratively across the department, with other Government agencies, including Federal, State and Local Government, Communities, project proponents and other key stakeholders.Prepare high-quality submissions, correspondence, briefing material, funding proposals and presentations and other related documentation.Provide strategic advice, informed by research and analysis, to the Director and broader management team on key issues, opportunities and initiatives relating to volunteering in Queensland and opportunities to improve outcomes and add value for communities.Provide leadership, guidance and advice to ensure delivery of well-considered, high-quality reports.Maintain knowledge and encourage continued learnings across agencies and levels of governance to support the volunteering sector effectively.About YouTravel away from the centre may be required.
