This is your opportunity to meaningfully to the health and wellbeing of Queensland''s former mine and quarry workers through the Mine Dust Health Support Service (MDHSS).The RoleAs a Project Officer you will be a key support resource for the MDHSS - a collaborative initiative between the OIR, Resources Safety & Health Queensland (RSHQ) and WorkCover Queensland (WCQ). The service provides access to health screening, information and support for eligible former mine and quarry workers affected by occupational mine dust lung disease.This role will allow you to apply your administrative, customer service and project coordination skills to make a real difference. You will work collaboratively with RHSQ and WCQ, liaise with stakeholders and contribute to a program that facilitates access to important health services.What You''ll Be DoingDelivering high-quality administrative and project support across WCRS initiatives.Managing email inboxes, maintaining registers, organising meetings, and preparing project documents including reports, minutes and correspondence.Assisting with grants administration and processing invoices.Providing professional and empathetic customer service to former mine workers and other stakeholders via phone and email.Offering accurate advice about health screening and support servicesCollaborating with two other agencies - RSHQ and WorkCover Queensland to ensure co-ordinated and timely service delivery.Maintaining confidentiality and integrity of client information in accordance with legislative obligations.Recording all interactions and preparing reports using CRM systems and tools such as Microsoft Excel, Word, QI, Content Manager and Power BI.Drafting clear and written communications tailored to different audiences.What You''ll BringWe''re looking for someone who can confidently manage competing priorities while supporting sensitive and high-impact initiatives.
