Job description:$73,742.00 per annum + superannuationFull Time, Fixed Term (Until 28th February 2026)Geelong based (hybrid working model 3 days per week in office)About the roleThe Claims and Recovery Support (CaRS) division has been created within WorkSafe to focus on supporting the recovery and return to work of injured workers. CaRS is transforming how we provide support and service to injured workers to improve the outcomes they achieve. As part of this, we are helping shape and execute on key strategic priorities for RTW Victoria through pilots, innovation and key strategic programs of work.The Recovery & Support Payments Processor is a member of the Claims Support team within the CaRS Division. The Recovery & Support Payments Processor is responsible for ensuring that workers being supported by the WorkSafe Claims and Recovery Support Division are supported towards the best prospects of health and functional recovery through the timely payment of entitlements to compensation and medical expense payments using a team-based approach with Recovery and Support Coordinators, Advisors, Officers and Administrators.This position offers the opportunity to work on new and evolving pieces of work along with the chance to gain exposure to and develop your skills with new systems.You will be:Processing appropriate and timely payments in relation to active claims that includes medical and other provider invoices, injured Worker reimbursements, weekly compensation, index certificates and documentsProactively identifying the need for additional information to process entitlements and seek the appropriate source to obtain necessary informationProviding the team with the current status of claims on matters including payments, approvals and schedulesIdentifying and escalating complex issues relating to legislation and policy to relevant team membersAccountable for creating and capturing accurate and complete records of the business activities related to this position, in accordance with approved policy and procedures.
