If you want to make a difference by helping shape a healthier, better-protected Australia, read on.The opportunity:We have two exciting opportunities for a Senior Project Manager to join our Technology team at AIA on a permanent and 12-month contract basis.Reporting to the Practice Manager, the successful candidate will lead large and/or multiple projects to manage and deliver specified outcomes, lead internal and external teams onsite and offshore to execute to project and software development lifecycle standards.To do this successfully you will:Managing and delivering large scale tactical and strategic projects that span one or multiple lines of business to enable AIA Australia to deliver its business planDevelop detailed business cases from feasibility, design through to implementation and closureDevelop detailed financial budgeting incorporating resource planning from project plansDesign and develop strategies & processes, in consultation with, stakeholders, team members and business consultants, to support implementation of projectStrong enterprise stakeholder management, ensuring appropriate collaboration, communication and change champion engagement for successful delivery and implementation of projectPlan and manage internal and external project resources to ensure delivery of project outcomes to timeFull project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneouslyLead and manage distributed delivery execution team onsite and offshorePresent status updates, Business Cases, funding/resource requests and required governance artefacts to the relevant committees as requiredSuccessful applications will demonstrate:Experience working as Senior Project Manager ideally in insurance or financial servicesExperience with integration technologies (APIs, XCOM, MQ Series, Control M)Ability to lead and inspire people to deliver exceptional outcomes and to drive a performance cultureProven experience working with Executive & Senior Management on developing and implementing strategic initiativesStrong understanding of large-scale system, information, and technology architectures, including application integration patterns, messaging, service-oriented architecture, information models, and data lineagePrevious experience in contract/vendor negotiations and managementAble to apply any of multiple delivery disciplines that is best suited to execution strategy of project or program (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)Why choose AIA:At AIA, weve made a promise to help people live healthier, longer, better lives.
