The Kimberley has only three towns with a population of more than 2,000 (Broome, Derby and Kununurra), and the total population is around 37,000. In addition to the sealed Route 1 which runs along the southern part of the area, the unsealed Gibb River Road runs through the heart of the region from Derby to the highway near Kununurra. Access to much of the region is by dirt road, air or sea.About The OpportunityKAMS now has an opportunity for a Payroll Officer to join their friendly, multidisciplinary team in Broome WA, on a full-time basis. This position processes fortnightly pays for KAMS (Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services) and KRS (Kimberley Renal Services) employees and oversee the AMS payroll processing.Some of your key responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):Fortnightly payroll processing, as well any out-of-cycle pays;Ensure accuracy of the fortnightly payroll;Ensure employee''s pays are in accordance with their contracts of employment;Maintains payroll system, applying updates as required in regard to award or interpretation updates;Maintain salary sacrifice deductions, process payments to external provider;Assist finance area as requiredPlease View Full Job Description HereTo be successful in this role, a genuine interest in payroll and finance with ability to communicate and interact with a diverse range of people.Please note: It is a requirement that successful candidates hold a current drivers licence, be fully covid-19 vaccinated and be willing to undergo a National Police Check prior to employment with KAMS.About The BenefitsKAMS is an organisation that truly values its team, and is committed to improving employee knowledge, skills and experience.
