This is a permanent, part-time position working 15 hours per week.In this important Djama, the Miyalk Navigator will walk alongside Yolu women throughout their pregnancy journey, offering skilled support and companionship every step of the way. Established in 1992, were committed to providing quality services across East Arnhem Land and enabling Yolu powered community health and wellbeing. Miwatj provides culturally appropriate, comprehensive primary and public health for over 6,000 residents of this remote landscape. With a Head Office in Nhulunbuy, and a Corporate Office in Darwin, our delivery is focused on 7 health centres across East Arnhem Land and dedicated outreach teams who travel to additional locations.What were looking for in you!The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of Aboriginal Community Control, Yolu culture, and the health issues faced in remote communities; Capacity to develop; or demonstrated effective English, Yolu Matha and intercultural communication skills.
