At Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club, every experience invites discovery, love, and lasting memories.Job DescriptionFairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club has been awarded Africas leading hotel in 2022, 2023, and 2024 by the World Travel Awards.The Talent & Culture Director will lead the T&C function, fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring policy compliance. Responsibilities include overseeing recruitment, onboarding, career development, performance management, health and safety initiatives, workplace safety compliance, training programs, colleague housing, welfare, engagement, HR budgets, staff events, and legal adherence.Manage recruitment processes, including candidate screening, interviews, reference and background checks, and extending job offers.Source talent through various channels.Plan and forecast recruitment needs.Participate in local career fairs.Ensure a strong health, safety, and security culture, including safety audits, WCB claims management, and acting as Secretary of the Health and Safety Committee.Counsel and coach colleagues on career development and performance issues.Maintain ongoing communication with colleagues at all levels, including management, to address opportunities and challenges.Support department heads and senior managers in developing action plans for issues.Assist in maintaining office coverage during absences.Coordinate training needs analysis and activities, especially in health and safety, service excellence, and leadership development.Oversee the Talent & Culture Department.Organize staff activities, recognition programs, and colleague events.Promote positive colleague relations through open communication, trust, and respect.Interpret T&C policies, legislation, and collective agreements.Exhibit professional leadership aligned with hotel culture.Oversee colleague housing and public areas, ensuring adherence to rules.Manage T&C budget, considering program costs.Supervise the colleague restaurant in coordination with the Executive Chef, ensuring balanced diets for colleagues.QualificationsA Degree in Human Resources is recommended; CHRP designation is an asset.Minimum 6+ years of HR management experience, particularly in recruiting and health & safety.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to work effectively in a diverse, multicultural environment and handle challenges professionally.Proven ability to address difficult issues with leadership and colleagues.Professional, motivated, energetic, and self-driven.Additional InformationEmployee benefit card with discounts worldwide.Learning programs through our Academies.Opportunities for growth within the property and globally.Contribute to CSR activities, including the rehabilitation of the Mountain Bongo.Work in a historic, luxurious hotel while advancing your career.Experience a magical, high-end property. #J-18808-Ljbffr
