The role: We are seeking a Production Supervisor for our Mackay Laboratory and nearby port. The Mackay laboratory provides sampling and testing services for our coal mining clients related to their production, shipping, and exploration activities. This leadership role reports to the Business Unit Manager and is responsible for the daily operations and planning, primarily supervising teams involved in preparation and testing of coal samples. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to: Rostering staff and scheduling work to meet client requirements for timeliness and quality Ensuring safety, quality, and reporting standards are met Fostering a positive team culture focused on training and teamwork Supervising, coaching, and training the Preparation Team Participating in ongoing process improvement initiatives Whats needed? To succeed in this role, you should have: Experience in sample preparation or laboratory work Supervisory experience (desirable) The drive to meet productivity targets and client turnaround times A valid Queensland C Class manual drivers license and own transport Safety is paramount. Ongoing drug and alcohol testing is required on-site. Candidates must reside locally in the Mackay region; FIFO is not offered.
