It is committed to excellence in the education of girls and to maintaining a safe and supportive environment for children and young people.Applications for the following position are sought to commence Monday 14 July 2025 to the end of Term 4 with the possibility of extension and/or permanent appointment in the future.Teacher Aide - Learning EnhancementMiddle Senior School (Years 7-12)Fixed Term Full Time Term TimeMonday - Friday 7.45am start 38 hours per weekThe successful applicant will be a qualified Teacher Aide with demonstrated experience working with students across our Middle Senior School. They will have a passion for education and a thorough understanding of the needs of girls and be dedicated to providing exceptional learning opportunities and supporting every students individual needs.Skills And AbilitiesAbility to work collaboratively with the Learning Enhancement Team and classroom teachers to develop resources, deliver programs and provide adjustments for students if requiredProvide administrative support to the Learning Enhancement Teachers and Heads of FacultyStrong knowledge of NCCDProficient in the use of ICT in the classroomStrong communication skills (verbal and written) to enhance connections with students, parents and staffAssist students with executive function skills such as organisation, planning, self-regulation, sequencing of tasks and working memoryAssist teachers and students with learning enhancement needs in practical lessons (e.g. Science)Excellent organisational skills and high level of accuracy and attention to detailDemonstrated ability to work in a team environment, take direction and work autonomously meeting deadlinesAbility to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment, problem solve and resolve customer concernsAbility to communicate sensitively and confidentially with stakeholders in a skillful mannerProvide examination and assignment management support where requiredAttend excursions/camps as required to provide individual support for studentsAttend faculty meetings and be confident to take initiative and put forward ideas and provide input on student needsPlayground support or supervision of studentsSelection Criteria RequirementsCertificate III in Education Support or equivalent as a minimumCurrent Paid Blue CardCPR & First Aid Qualifications an advantageExperience working with students individually and in small groups with specific learning needs and support plansExperience supporting classroom teachers and students in the classroom in core subject areasAs a prospective member of the St Hildas Community, you will be willing to support the Code of Conduct and the stated values and Anglican Ethos of the School and have your name submitted to the Anglican Churchs Professional Standards Register.Any questions about the position should be directed to Human Resources via employment@sthildas.qld.edu.au or by calling 55777302.Applications should be submitted by 10.00am Monday 9 June 2025.
