We have an incredible opportunity for an experienced and passionate Farm and Operations Manager to join our team.Reporting to our Executive General Manager of SunPork Farms, this role is a critical leadership role that is focused on improving our systems, ensuring efficiency and achieving key business objectives.You will be responsible for overseeing multiple farm locations across the Goondiwindi, Darling Downs and Western downs regions in regional QLD, Australia.SunPork Company BenefitsAs a SunPork employee you will be able to take advantage of the following:Lead and manage large-scale pig farming operationsFully maintained company vehicleSubsidised accommodationCompetitive remunerationAbout the RoleAs an Operations Manager, you''ll be responsible for:Overseeing multiple pig farming operations, ensuring productivity goals, financial targets and health and safety standards are metLeading and developing a culturally diverse team, fostering a high performance and engaged workplace cultureThe preparation and management of budgets, overseeing capital expenditure projects and tracking key performance metricsManaging farm biosecurity, herd health and animal welfare programs to meet regulatory and company standardsEngaging with external stakeholders across the board for all things necessary to the operational management of the farmsEnsuring environmental and sustainability compliance across multiple farm locations according to local, state, national and internal company regulationsLeading and taking part in production improvement projects as they apply to the farms and locations youll be overseeingAbout YouIn looking for a valuable addition to our team, our ideal candidate will have:Strong leadership experience in the pork or intensive animal production industryRobust knowledge of herd health, feed nutrition, quality control and farm biosecurityProven experience in financial and operational management, including budget reporting and development and performance reportingAbility to problem-solve and manage complex farm operations with exceptional communication and people management skillsCertifications/Degrees in Agriculture or Rural Operations strongly preferredAbout UsSunPork Group is Australias leading farmer-owned and operated pork producer, committed to delivering the highest quality fresh Australian pork to market.
