NIDA is unique in the world for its practice-based and industry-relevant training in the range that it offers which includes Acting, Design, Costume, Properties and Objects, Technical Theatre and Stage Management, Scenic Construction, Writing for Performance, Directing and Cultural Leadership.About The RoleThe Academic Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring NIDAs adherence to higher education and vocational training regulatory frameworks, including TEQSA, ASQA, and government departments. This role involves developing and implementing quality assurance systems, academic policies, compliance monitoring cycles, and internal audits. The manager maintains key compliance registers, provides guidance across departments, ensures compliance in international student recruitment, and stays updated on regulatory changes. They also serve on academic governance committees, prepare reports and policy papers, coordinate re-registration processes, liaise with regulatory bodies, and support WHS obligations and other duties as required by the Director of Learning and Innovation.About YouYou are an experienced and knowledgeable professional in quality assurance and compliance within Higher and/or Vocational Education. You possess a strong understanding of academic standards, particularly those set by ASQA and Higher Education regulatory frameworks, with a proven track record of implementing and improving quality assurance systems. Your strengths include advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in IT tools like Microsoft Office. You have experience clerking academic committees, reporting to senior governance bodies, leading quality initiatives, mentoring staff, managing compliance projects, and driving academic or curriculum development.
