They collaborate with both business and technical stakeholders to establish data principles, standards, policies and processes that enhance data capture, usage and sharing across the organisation.The roleThe Manager, Data Governance and Assurance Framework Initiatives is responsible for leading the design and delivery of ASIC''s data governance and assurance programs. This includes driving the implementation and continuous improvement of the data governance framework to ensure consistent, compliant management of data assets. The role works closely with business units to align governance objectives, maximise data value, and build organisational capability, while also establishing systems to monitor compliance with data policies, standards, agreements, and risk frameworks.More Specifically, You WillLead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of ASIC''s data governance framework, including associated standards, policies and processes.Partner with business units to align data governance with organisational objectives, drive data value, manage change and build capability.Design and implement systems to monitor compliance with data policies, standards, procedures, agreements and risk frameworks.Oversee the development and maintenance of the Service Platform for data and analytics products and services.Manage triage of business issues and requests and establish Service Level Agreements for resolution.Contribute to the cataloguing of ASIC''s data assets, policies, and standards.Build partnerships with business and technical stakeholders to support data specification, preparation, management and governance for data initiatives.About YouThe ideal candidate for the Manager, Data Governance and Assurance Framework Initiatives role at ASIC is a strategic and experienced data governance professional who brings a strong track record in leading enterprise-wide data initiatives. They will possess a deep understanding of data governance frameworks, risk management and assurance practices with the ability to translate these into practical, scalable solutions.In Addition, You Will HaveTertiary qualifications in IT, Information Management, Statistics, Economics, Law or a related discipline with a focus on data governance and management.Proven experience in developing and applying data governance policies, with knowledge of frameworks such as DAMA, DMBOK, or DATA 2.0.Demonstrated ability to manage complex data environments, embed data strategies and implement systems for data collection, storage and use.Strong technical understanding of information systems and their application in data capture, management and analysis.Proficiency in one or more technical areas such as data lineage, metadata, data modelling, data quality, integration/ETL, data warehousing, or analytics.Experience in managing data risks and leading compliance or assurance activities in complex organisations.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts and influence decision-making.Click apply'' to start your application.Applications will close at 11:59pm AEST, Wednesday 18 June 2025.About ASICASIC''s remit is one of the broadest of regulators across the world.
