We have diverse projects and meaningful work in the application of our unique passive surveillance sensors within critical defence and national security programs.As Silentium Defence continues to grow and secure new programs, we''re expanding our team and looking for another talented project manager to join us.Your OpportunityAs a valuable member of our high performing team, you will apply your project management experience, to ensure effective leadership is applied to our Defence projects that are currently designing and testing distributed passive radar networks that will provide a cost effective, covert, and comprehensive situational awareness picture to the Royal Australian Air Force.You will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, reporting and closing of these projects. Your responsibilities will include: Managing projects to maximise our customers value from our products and services Ownership of all aspects of assigned projects including schedules, resource allocation, budget management, procurement, risk management and issues management Control of project schedules, budgets, and quality standards so that projects are delivered on time and within budget Establishing and managing project plans, budgets, schedules, risk registers and report on progress, earned value metrics and variances. Working with internal stakeholders for resource allocation and project support requests Identifying and managing project risks and opportunities Maintaining the project management toolset Embedding project management principles and processes across the companyAbout YouOverall, youre an ideas person and problem solver with a can-do attitude as well as a hands-on doer thats important. If you have an interesting or unusual mix of skills yourself, even better.Were looking for people who are natural initiative-takers who bring out the best in others, are brilliant listeners and can grow our business without compromising standards, integrity, or culture.Youll be an ace at what you do, with a passion for project management, keen business instincts and an eye for emerging trends and behaviours.You must have: Bachelors degree in, project management or another relevant technical subject Demonstrated work experience as a project manager in an engineering development environment Demonstrated high proficiency in communication, including written reports and documentation for stakeholders and communicating ideas to team members Demonstrated ability to apply analysis techniques to complex challenges Enjoy complexity and ambiguity and bringing innovative ideas to solve challengesHighly desirable Certification or working towards certification in methods such as PRINCE2, AGILE, PMBOK. Defence Industry experience. Experience and familiarity with ASDEFCON.ClearancesAs Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.Candidates must meet ITAR requirements.
