As part of ACM Agriculture, ACM Rural Events produces an expanding calendar of agricultural events in regional and rural Australia, attracting thousands of participants each year and hundreds of thousands of visitors. To collaboratively plan and deliver exceptional, safe large scale hybrid events in ACMs Agriculture national portfolio of premier field days and rural events including AgQuip (Gunnedah NSW), FarmFest (Toowoomba QLD), AgSmart Expo (Tamworth NSW) and event support to Australian Community Media (ACM). ACM Rural Events partners with key stakeholders to deliver world class, mass participation on-site and online experiences, providing significant economic, cultural and social impact to local communities.ResponsibilitiesAchieving budgeted revenue for Event SalesEnsure the day-to-day events sales workflow requirements are achieved in a timely and accurate manner. Through strong management and strategy, achieve all revenue targets including site sales, sponsorship, advertising, field services and gate receipts.Lead the generation of revenue for the Events businessSales calls and in-person meetings over the event sales cycle periodMaintain regular contact with sponsors and exhibitors as required to achieve sales goalsTake part in sales meetings to track and review revenue targetsDevelop revenue opportunities/strategies, including the Map Your Show product offering and the events digital products (website, social, EDM, etc)Update sales event budget, in consultation with General ManagerDevelop and implement sponsorship strategic planning, in conjunction with General ManagerManage site allocations and approvals in consultation with the Operations ManagerDevelop and update sales stakeholder communications deliver quality, excellent written sales proposalsManage sales prospecting and prospect qualificationIdentify and apply for grants appropriate to the events businessWeekly sales reporting to General ManagerThe successful candidate will have:Minimum three years working in a sales/commercial management role, preferably in the events sectorSelf-disciplined with strong time management,High attention to detailDisplay a "can do" attitudeAbility to multi-task and achieve results under pressure and to deadline/sWork effectively with people and function as a team playerStrong work ethic to work autonomously and as part of a teamHighly developed account management skillsFlexibility and willingness to learn new tasksResilience and adaptability to changePossess a flexible approach to out-of-hours work.
