Youll also take part in the broader academic community through involvement in departmental and school-wide administration and strategic planning.Apply now to join a university that values innovation, collaboration, and academic excellence and become a driving force in the fields of biochemistry and biotechnology.About YouTo be suitable for this role were seeking someone with:Significant experience and expertise in teaching in biochemistry, biotechnology, and at least one of: bioinformatics, molecular biology, cell biology, microbiology, or data science at university level.A track record of high-quality teaching outcomes and consistently positive student feedback.Enthusiasm for modern teaching methods and reflective teaching practices including blended learning and teaching, on-campus, face-to-face teaching, and the use of case studies, interactive role plays, simulations and/or problem solving both in person and online.A solid research background with published work in highly regarded academic journals and knowledge of various research methods.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to connect well with students, colleagues, and industry contacts.A team player who works well with others, manages teaching teams, and helps with course development.Experience or strong potential to attract research funding and build strong links with industryWe particularly welcome applications from early to mid-career academics, with 2 to 10 years of aligned academic experience following the completion of their PhD.QualificationsAn earned doctoral qualification in the relevant discipline or a related field or in exceptional circumstances, equivalent professional experience.
