Preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of foodPresentation of food, and to create decorative food displaysEnsure the workstation is always kept clean and hygienicEstimate amounts and costs of required supplies, such as food and ingredientsInspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure conformance to established standardsMonitor sanitation practices to ensure that the standards and regulationsOrder or requisition food and other supplies needed to ensure efficient operationSupervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in food preparationDemonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to staff and advice on cooking proceduresPreparing food with knowledge of nutritional values of commodities and the effects of cooking on nutritional value of foodCheck the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are metCheck the quantity and quality of received products to be used in food preparationProper handling of electrical equipment used like microwave, oven, food processor, refrigerator, freezer etc.Maintaining occupation health safety procedures etcFollowing procedures in relation to food handling, personal and general hygiene, and typical hygiene control in the hospitality industryApplicant Must HaveCompleted a Diploma in Hospitality Management and a minimum of 1 year of full-time work experience in a similar position. At least 12 months'' experience in tandoori cooking is essential.
