This role can either be Residential to Mt Isa or FIFO working a 15 days on and 13 days off roster.Reporting to the Team Leader Mt Isa, you will play a key role in maintaining and repairing electrical and instrumentation systems which includes ensuring the safety and reliability of these systems, diagnosing and resolving technical issues, and complying with industry regulations and standards.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and repair electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure safety and reliability.Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to these systems.Comply with industry regulations and standards to ensure safe and efficient operations.Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to improve the performance of electrical and instrumentation systems.Stay up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends to advise on potential improvements.Your backgroundExcellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.Demonstrated experience in Gas Plant/Pipeline operations.Electrical and instrumentation qualifications including, metering, calibration and EEHA.Experience in maintenance of compressors, gas engine alternators, electric motors, and pressure reduction systems.Able to competently use relevant computer applications to analyse data, calibrate instruments and maintain records.About the TeamThe Operations & Maintenance team central to this role are responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of gas to our contracted customers. We maintain an extensive portfolio of pipelines and gas compression stations spread over large distances in remote locations. Typical equipment includes turbine compression units, GEAs and customer delivery stations which contain pressure and temperature regulation equipment.
