We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team who shares our vision of building a sustainable and profitable major Australian gold business.About the opportunityWestgold Resources are sourcing an experienced and safety focused WHS advisor to ensure compliance with the companys integrated management system and mine management system.With Westgolds Southern Operations expansion, this newly created role will be offered to the successful candidate on a permanent 8:6 roster and based at our Beta Hunt mine site.The role includesAssisting in the maintenance and monitoring of all WHS Statutory requirements for the operation, including the statutory reporting requirements.Provide expert and practical advice on WHS controls to the operational site teamsProvide assistance and guidance to site personnel in relation to incident reporting and investigationsParticipate in the implementation of the Annual Westgold WHS Strategic PlanAssist with the development of site-specific procedures when requiredEnsure, weekly month and WHS statistical reports are completed as per site and corporate requirementsEnsure incident investigation findings are correctVerify safety records are maintained, and that the quality of the records is consistent with site standards and requirementsWhat do I need?Cert IV in Work Health and Safety (required)Cert IV in Training and Assessment / HLTPAT005 Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing (desirable)Demonstrated experience working in the mining/resources sectorA sound understanding of the WHS legislation and statutory requirementsSound knowledge of Risk and AuditAbility to meet set deadlines and manage projectsProficient in MS OfficeExcellent communication skills; both written and verbalThe Westgold Offer:A permanent full-time position at a successful gold producerA range of benefits including:Performance based bonusGroup salary continuous insuranceA health and wellness allowance Health insurance discountA range of Family and Medical leave policies that includes IVF, surrogacy and adoption.Referral Bonus - bring your mates along!5 years'' pro rata long service leaveSalary sacrifice optionsEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) that include free confidential counselling, wellbeing services that includes financial advice.Our full list of benefits and why we are recognised as an Endorsed Employer for Women by Work 180 can be seen on the Work180 website.Westgold is driven by our core values of Show Respect, Choose Safety and Deliver Value.
