If youre organised, collaborative and ready to make a positive impact across the Tamworth region, wed love to hear from you.The Volunteer Services Officer is responsible for:Resource and operate Councils Volunteering Centre and website to support and facilitate volunteer recruitment, connection, registration, screening, induction and training;Lead and advise Councils Volunteer Supervisors on volunteer management, leadership, compliance and training;Provide direct volunteer training and compliance support to Councils Place Management Team volunteer programs;Plan and deliver multiple events annually which recognise and reward volunteers including regional Australia Day Awards for Barraba, Manilla and Nundle;Coordinate and deliver a quarterly volunteer newsletter recognising volunteer achievement and opportunities;Engage with State and Federal Government funding bodies to secure funding for volunteer related activities.TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEEDBachelor Degree in Social Science or Community Services or similar tertiary qualification relevant tothe functions of the position OR significant practical relevant experienceCandidates with relevant practice skills and experience will be consideredUnderstanding of the operating environment including promotion, encouragement and management of volunteers and youth opportunities within Tamworth RegionProject and Event Management SkillsCurrent Working With Children Check (WWCC)Marketing ExperienceLeadership SkillsFirst Aid CertificateDriver LicenceINTERESTED?
