Who You Are Youre a dedicated Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist with a passion for creating safe, sustainable, and compliant work environments. You bring a deep understanding of EHS regulations, risk assessment, and safety practices, paired with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a meticulous eye for detail. Your expertise enables you to identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks that could impact the mission success of our customers. Known for your strong communication skills and collaborative approach, youre adept at training personnel, conducting inspections, and implementing EHS programs that enhance operational readiness and resilience. Note This is a contingent position based upon contract award. What You''ll Do Manage environmental programs for compliance, pollution prevention, and natural resource protection. Prepare and oversee SOWs and cost estimates for environmental studies, designs, and projects. Ensure and monitor compliance, investigate non-compliant issues. Establish and manage hazardous waste storage and disposal policies and practices. Identify and validate potential contaminated sites and develop/implement remedial action plans. Manage staff, budget, and policies affecting specific programs. Perform other duties as required. Requirements Must be a US or Australian citizen. Must have a US TS/SCI Clearance w/ Poly, or an Australian PV clearance. Minimum of a BA/BS from an accredited institution, preferably in environmental science or EHS-related field. At least five years of EHS experience managing projects of similar size, scope, and complexity. Possession of ASP, CSP, CIH, CEP (Preferred), or Australian equivalent; an EH&S related Master''s Degree may suffice for certification. Knowledge of process improvement models. Understanding of US and Australian bilateral agreements governing EHS. Strong analytical skills to analyze data related to workplace safety and environmental compliance. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to identify safety risks and develop mitigation strategies. Physical demands may include walking extensive distances during inspections. This role will be located in Alice Springs at a 4,400-acre facility with approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space. This position is expected to be onsite 100%.
