United in the pride that comes with welcoming the world at Australias premier gateway.Job DescriptionAbout the teamThe Group Strategy Team supports value creation across the airport through timely and focused identification and delivery of strategic opportunities aligned to SYDs strategic prioritiesSpecifically, the Group Strategy Team is responsible for monitoring and reporting on strategic initiatives to ensure alignment with SYDs goals. They partner with teams across SYD to translate enterprise-wide opportunities into actionable plan & they drive innovation, strategic thinking, and continuous improvement across the organisation.About the roleThe Group Strategy Senior Analyst is responsible for providing strategic, commercial, and financial insights that inform the development, evaluation and implementation of key Aviation Growth and Group Strategy initiatives. This role will work closely with cross functional stakeholders to manage the development of strategic initiatives and will be responsible for providing high quality and insightful analysis, presentations, and research to inform investment cases.In this role, youll have the opportunity toStrategic Development: Inform and support the development and execution of innovative strategic initiatives and projects, aligning with organisational goals to drive sustainable growth, profitability, and long-term success.Analysis and Insights: Identify growth opportunities through market research, competitor benchmarking, and trend analysis. Use data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions and enhance competitive advantage.Financial and Commercial Expertise: Create compelling business cases and detailed financial models, including scenario and sensitivity analyses. Assess the feasibility and risks of strategic initiatives, recommending solutions that balance opportunity with risk mitigation.Program and Project Management: Manage strategic programs by defining scope, creating plans, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring timely delivery. Monitor KPIs and benchmarks, optimizing outcomes as needed.Reporting and Communication: Create clear, concise, and engaging reports and presentations for senior leadership, shareholders, and board members. Tailor messaging to be impactful for diverse audiences.Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and industry stakeholders. Facilitate workshops to align priorities, gain buy-in, and drive consensus on strategic initiatives.About youWe seek a professional with a degree in aviation, finance, or legal, and extensive aviation industry experience. You should understand profitability drivers, regulatory frameworks, and market dynamics, with leadership roles in airlines, airports, or infrastructure assets being highly regarded.With 5+ years in top-tier management consulting, you excel in strategic problem-solving, financial modeling, and business case development. You deliver actionable insights, support strategic initiatives, and manage high-impact transactions. Your ability to translate complex data into compelling strategies is key.You possess exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, are articulate and confident, and can present complex information clearly. Thriving under pressure, you remain composed during tight deadlines and critical negotiations. Your collaborative leadership style inspires teams, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word ensures technical excellence.
