This position requires the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders within the organisation and to effectively manage change.ResponsibilitiesSupport the effective implementation and maintenance of organisational Governance framework.Support the coordinator legal and governance in facilitating external legal advice to Council.Provide legal advice as directed by the Coordinator Legal & Governance in relation to complex legal matters affecting Council.In consultation with asset custodians, coordinate and provide for the day to day management of Councils lease and land tenure portfolio, including preparing reports to Council and drafting and reviewing commercial agreements.Provide advice, training and development to internal stakeholders regarding the application of organisational legal and governance.Establish and build professional relationships with asset custodians, service providers and relevant external organisations and agencies.Provide advice and support as required to meet Councils obligations under the external Complaints and Compliments policy and procedure.Conduct investigations regarding complaints and liaising with stakeholders regarding their resolution.Maintain related business systems and records.Prepare high quality correspondence including operational policies, procedures, guidelines, briefings and reports.Qualifications Bachelors degree in Law or relevant discipline. Admitted as an Australian Lawyer.
