Work as part of an ambitious, smart and passionate team and belong to something meaningful as part of the Woolworths Group.What youll doThere are a number of exciting new initiatives coming up at Cartology, and we are looking for a Data Engineer to join the team.Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Designing and delivering data infrastructure and solutions in GCP including data models, ETL pipelines, warehousing using various tools e.g. dbt, Bigquery, Looker, Dataflow, Fivetran, Cloud Composer etc.Optimise and troubleshoot data products and toolingImplement and maintain best practices for data governance, data security, data quality and integrity for all data assetsSupport data analysis and reporting activities through data tooling, data access patterns, data visualisation, query and report optimisationStaying current with industry trends and best practices and sharing this knowledge with the broader technical teamsWhat youll bringStrong SQL, Python and data modelling skills with demonstrated success in designing and building complex data infrastructure and pipelinesKnowledge of software engineering concepts and best practices.Experience building meaningful dashboards in a modern BI tool (e.g. Looker, Tableau, PowerBI etc)Experience building ETL pipelines and modelling data for both BI and Data Product consumption.Experience in building solutions in cloud platforms (GCP Preferred)Technical understanding of modern cloud based data warehousing e.g BigQuery, Snowflake etc.Experience in the media industry including digital media is highly desirable.Experience in retail and e-commerce is beneficial but not essential.What youll experienceDevelop your career in an organisation that gives you the time and space to think creatively and strategicallyFeel supported and empowered by your leadersA truly unique opportunity to be involved in creating, shaping and leading the new retail media industry.A global business with endless career possibilities around every corner and across every discipline with valuable exposure to a vast and exciting business network.Team discounts across our range of Woolworths Group brands you know and love and a robust rewards program that celebrates and incentivises purpose-driven work.Endless possibilities with Woolworths GroupWere a proud part of the Woolworths Group 200,000+ bright minds, passionate hearts and unique perspectives working together connected by a shared Purpose to create better experiences together for a better tomorrow.Here youll be supported and empowered to explore new ideas, make brave commitments and innovate better ways to meet the food and everyday needs of more than 24 million customers every week.
