Production is in full swing at the mine site located in the Galilee Basin and were excited to be building our team with these additional roles as we ramp up our next fleets!Townsville and Rockhampton are our primary recruitment hubs, and we are also offering flights from Mackay. We also encourage and will consider applicants from all regional Queensland communities.Your new roleManage production crews of a Coal Mine, providing leadership for operations and safe working environmentAdhere to Site Safety Health Management System and Environmental and other statutory management plansEnsure all operations targets are met in line with safety standardsSchedule and attend daily pre-start/safety meetingsPerform and submit regular Safe Act Observations (SAOs) using site supplied documentation and reporting processBuild and maintain high performing teamsMonitor and evaluate production outcomes and maintain accurate recordsWhat you''ll need to succeedCurrent Mining Supervisor G1, G8, G9 (formerly S1, S2, S3) and G2Current Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical or willingness to obtainPrevious similar leadership experience within an open cut operationKnowledge of current WHS legislation and statutory requirementsFlexible and adaptable to different working environments, with strong problem-solving skillsMust be a team player with the ability to mentor and lead other staffStrong written and communication skillsHigh focus and demonstrated success in maintaining an excellent safety record for teamsCompetency using Microsoft Office SuiteWhy MacKellarPermanent opportunity with long-term project lifeAttractive salary + 7/7 rotating roster for better work-life balancePaid flights directly from Rockhampton, Townsville, or Cairns to siteMeals, camp accommodation (gym and wet mess on site), PPE providedReferral bonuses up to $2500!!Only those with the relevant experience and qualifications will be contacted.
