This position must work collaboratively and cohesively in a team environment, working together and achieving a common goal.We are looking for two seasonal full-time staff (38 hours per week) roles over our busy dry season. Roles will be on a seasonal contract running from April to September 2025.Key RequirementsLevel of ResponsibilityAuthority & AccountabilityCompletion of basic tasks involving the utilisation of a range of basic skills under established practices and procedures. Work is monitored under supervision either individually or in a team environment.Judgement & Problem SolvingJudgement is limited to the tasks to be performed and may involve the use of limited range of tools, techniques and methods within a specified range of work. An employee may resolve minor problems that relate to immediate work tasks.Specialist Knowledge & SkillsObtained through on-the-job training and workplace induction training. May include off-the-job training through accredited short courses.Management SkillsNot required at this levelInterpersonal SkillsLimited to basic communications with other staff and possibly with the public.Qualifications & ExperienceCompletion of year 10 and/ or an appropriate labour market program or similar work/ skills.Job ResponsibilityPositions Key ResponsibilitiesProvide high quality customer service to Visitor Information Centre patrons to maximise the upselling of tourism products;Provide effective and productive communications to visitors, operators, and other stakeholders via various forms (i.e. telephone, email, face to face contact)Monitor and maintain display stock;Actively support the Visitor Information Centre day to day operations including family participation, shift and weekend work;Receive and balance financial transactions as required and in accordance with Council procedures;Assist the Manager with operations of services as directed, including providing accurate advice and guidance to patrons whilst Manager is unavailableUnderstand and become familiar with resources and information related to the position and be able to communicate such information efficiently to staff and patrons;Work collaboratively as a team, communicate well with team members, be respectful and courteous to team-mates and patrons at all times;Other responsibilities as shall be reasonably associated with or incidental to the above responsibilities or as shall, in the course of the employment, be agreed between the parties as being or forming part of the duties.Organisational ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety requirements. Comply with workplace procedures for risk identification, risk assessment and risk control. Participate in activities associated with the management of workplace health and safety.
