Control Network Engineer Operational TechnologyLocation: Chinchilla (Queensland) FIFO from BrisbaneThe company: Global Oil/Gas OperatorIndicative assignment length: 10-month initial contract (subject to agreement)We are in need for an experienced Control Network Engineer to be responsible for the provision of technical support to ensure the operability, maintenance, and integrity of all process control network systems and infrastructure within the Upstream Operations environment. This is a 15/13 roster.Key Responsibilities:Design and manage complex network configurations from proposal to completion, improve reliability to target increased production or operating efficiency.In conjunction with the Principal PACO Engineer, ensure that communications between control systems is effective, reliable and secure.Act as the focal point for specialist network communication configuration and troubleshooting.Interface with contractors to ensure development of a fit-for-purpose design and review.Support the maintenance and reliability teams in setting maintenance strategies, review/approve engineering contractor design documents, engineering studies and specifications.Provide technical support to telecoms service contracts. Work with demand mangers to maximise value from contracts.Support the network solution architecture implementation, network monitoring, systems integration, and design & delivery of communication systems to facilitate the safe and effective operation and management of upstream assets.Support Field Telecommunications Technicians as required, during the inspection, maintenance & repair of telecommunications systems installed on tower infrastructure.Provide On-Call support outside normal working hours (when required).Skills & Experience:Extensive Network configuration and deployment experience in oil and gas operations / maintenance / projectsExperience of project life cycle from concept development through to execution and operation including understanding factors that impact total cost of ownershipProven experience in systems design, in-house engineering, field delivery through commissioning and service work, maintenance, full project life cycle completion of varying technical complexity and scale.In depth knowledge on the configuration of the Network switches, firewalls, routers (Dual MPLS Nodes), System Network Architecture, VPN and PCN Networks.Knowledge of core networking protocols (IP, routing protocols, switching protocols) and troubleshooting infrastructureAdministration of network management servers (ESXi host, VMWare, MS Server)Installation and configuration of Network Management Systems like Solarwinds, GE Pulsenet etcExperience working in an oil and gas environmentQualifications:Bachelor''s degree in Information Technology or a related field, or holds Network professional certification.Possesses Full Australian Work rightsIf you are interested, please submit your resume and a cover letter detailing your relevant experience and qualifications through SEEK or send your CV to muhamad.hafizi@airswift.comFor enquiries, please call Hafizi at +61 861 875 421.Airswift is an international workforce solutions provider.
