Add expected salary to your profile for insightsThe Membership & Marketing Lead at the Bunbury Geographe Chamber of Commerce & Industry is responsible for effectively managing and growing the Chambers membership in alignment with its Strategic Intent. This role plays a central part in supporting a strong, engaged, and diverse membership base that reflects both established and emerging industries across the region.The position combines member relations with strategic marketing and communications responsibilities. It involves developing meaningful relationships with members, fostering engagement through events and initiatives, and advocating for member needs and interests.In addition, the role includes working alongside the CEO to assist with communications and marketing efforts, ensuring consistent and professional messaging across all platforms. This includes digital content, promotional campaigns, branding, and member-focused communications that promote the value of Chamber membership and highlight the achievements of local businesses.The Membership & Marketing Lead works collaboratively across the Chamber team to support local business development, drive member retention and acquisition, and elevate the Chambers presence and reputation within the region.Key ResponsibilitiesMember Engagement & Relationship BuildingBuild and maintain professional relationships with new and existing members across all sectors.Facilitate connections and business opportunities between members through events, introductions and networking initiatives.Coordinate onboarding for new members, including welcome communications, orientation meetings, and service introductionsIdentify and encourage opportunities for member participation such as sponsorships, partnerships, and leadership involvement.Planning and DevelopmentCollaborate with the CEO to design and maintain membership prospectus'', membership CRM database and other documentation.Manage the member retention procedure using best practice approaches to meet monthly retention targets.Evaluate and refine initiatives to ensure they are relevant, practical, and beneficial for members.External Representation and PromotionRepresent the Chamber at external meetings, business forums, and networking events.Represent the interests and needs of members in line with the Chambers constitution and strategic intent.Act as a key point of contact, responding to enquiries and proactively supporting member needs.Marketing & CommunicationsWork with the CEO and Project & Events officer to maintain a strong social media presenceDevelop and execute marketing campaigns with the CEO targeted towards membershipDevelop and maintain receive sufficient & clear communication processes towards membersDesired Skills & ExperienceA minimum of 2 years experience in a similar roleExperience in relationship managementProven ability to engage with members & stakeholdersExcellent skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programsExperience in marketing campaigns, social media managementExperience in programs such as Canva & MailchimpThe role is critical in developing and maintaining strong, meaningful relationships with members of the Chamber. It is responsible for ensuring members are welcomed, supported, connected, and engaged in Chamber activities, while actively contributing to the growth and vitality of the local business community. In addition, the role supports the Chambers communications, ensuring consistent, professional, and engaging messaging across digital platforms, campaigns, and member updates. Effective communication is key to strengthening member engagement, promoting Chamber initiatives, and enhancing the organisations visibility and impact within the region.The role is offered with flexible work hours as a 0.5 FTE.Applications close Wednesday 25th June.
