Spanning various exciting maintenance shutdowns and projects from Kwinana to Bunbury, this opportunity offers regular work throughout the year. Become part of our core crew and enjoy the advantage of being home every night while tackling challenging projects and earning competitive rates.The RoleDuties and responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to the below:Maintain all correct consumables, feeds, amperages and pre heat in accordance with applicable weld proceduresWeld steel structures in sequence to eliminate shrinkage and distortion of steel componentsRemove tack welds, clean and restore weld preparations where requiredSolid understanding of current Australian Welding Standards.Welding techniques including, but not limited to, MMAW, FCAW and Arc air gouging.Ability to pass weld tests 3G, 4G and 6GFollow quality control systems and techniquesAbout YouTo be successful in the role you will possess the following:Australian Recognised Trade CertificateConstruction White CardWork Safely at Heights (within 2 years of issue)Enter and Work in Confined Space (within 2 years of issue)Gas Test Atmospheres (desirable)Ability to pass a pre-employment Medical and regular / random Drug and Alcohol screensOwn form of transport to and from siteCivmec + YouAt Civmec, we offer an inclusive workplace built on family values, with a Never Assume'' culture, sustained by our experienced and supportive management team.
