We believe thats what makes us truly different!We are currently seeking two dedicated Domestic Assistants / Laundry Assistants to join the team providing support services at Bethanie Fields Aged Care Home located in Eaton. Co-located with a retirement village, Bethanie Fields is a 160 bed facility designed specifically to provide support for people who need 24 hour care, including those with special care needs and dementia.To be successful in this role, you will have experience in cleaning and / or laundering practices and be of a friendly nature, as interaction with our residents is core to our culture.Successful applicants will form part of our casual pool who provide relief across both morning and afternoons, as well as on weekends and public holidays. Shifts for each role are as follows:Domestic Assistant7.30am - 3pm8am - 4.30pmLaundry Assistant8am - 12pm or 1pm8.30am or 9.30am - 4.30pm10am - 2pm / 3pm10.30am - 2.30pm, 3pm, 4pm or 4.30pmAbout YouPrevious experience working as a Domestic Assistant / Cleaner or Laundry Assistant, ideally in an aged care, hospital or similar environmentHave a can do attitude and a genuine compassion for our residentsReliable with a strong work ethicAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamWillingness to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of The Bethanie GroupWillingness to obtain relevant vaccinationsCurrent NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to apply for one)The RolesDomestic AssistantEnsuring bathrooms, toilets, furniture, fittings, floors and communal areas are kept clean and tidyEnsuring supplies are stocked across the facilityLiaising with other employees to ensure the needs of our residents are metEnsuring residents'' personal clothing is individually labelled and put away in their rooms, identifying items that require mendingLaundry AssistantEnsuring all laundry and linen is laundered correctly and infection control practices are adhered toSorting and washing linen by wash temperature, colour, degree of soiling, infectious nature, fabric and fibreLoading and unloading washing machines and tumble dryersSorting and folding clean and dry linenReporting damage or wear and recommending repairs or replacementWorking with BethanieMany of us work because we want to make a difference.
