The role focuses on defining and implementing Salesforce technologies within the enterprise architecture, ensuring strategic investments deliver maximum return. By leading collaboration among business units, vendors, and technical teams, the role supports seamless development, testing, and implementation while keeping stakeholders engaged.A key challenge in this position is managing complex negotiations with diverse stakeholders, balancing competing priorities, and identifying interdependencies to ensure project objectives are met. Success relies on strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills to bring together analysts, project managers, and developers in delivering innovative and efficient solutions.For more information read the full Role Description: Principal Salesforce ArchitectWhat you will bring to the roleExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey ideas and collaborate with team members.Strong problem-solving abilities to navigate complex challenges and adapt to evolving situations.Proven leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and inspire others to achieve shared goals.Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills, fostering strong relationships and ensuring alignment with diverse stakeholders to achieve outcomes.Confident decision-making skills, ensuring timely and effective choices that drive project success while considering risks and opportunities.Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities while ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.Key knowledge and experienceIn-depth knowledge of Salesforce architecture, including Security and Compliance features, with a solid grasp of integration with broader Enterprise Architecture domains.Proven experience operating at a senior or executive level in complex organizations, offering specialized and strategic Salesforce-related solutions and advice to executive leadership.Strong expertise in business analysis processes, identifying Salesforce implementation opportunities and mitigating potential risks.Advanced understanding of Salesforce cloud-based solutions, including as a service architectures like Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS).Comprehensive awareness of current and future trends in Salesforce technologies and their alignment with broader ICT and information architecture strategies.Experience in system analysis and design including in requirements gathering and documenting functional requirements, understanding business requirements/process.Demonstrated proficiency in languages and tools relevant for the specific role:XML, VB.NET, .NET, PHP, Java and Web ServicesStrong MS-SQL database and TSQL knowledge, skills and experience including performance tuning of SQL queries both implicit and EF generatedApex, Apex Classes, Apex Triggers and CommunitiesAura, LWC and Custom Lightning ComponentsBitbucket, ANT, GearSetAbout usThe Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (DPHI) improves the liveability and prosperity of NSW.
