Wirra Wirra Vineyards is looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working Vineyard Operator to join our team in our Adelaide Hills vineyards.About Wirra WirraEstablished in 1894, Wirra Wirra is a family-owned McLaren Vale winery rich in history. The impressive portfolio of reds from McLaren Vale and whites from the Adelaide Hills have a global reputation for their consistency, style and quality.Our vineyard area covers 58 hectares taking in our Estate Vineyard at the McLaren Vale winery and 6 sites in the Adelaide Hills including Ashton Hills Vineyards, Hahndorf Hill Winery and leased vineyards in the Lenswood and Piccadilly Valley sub-regions.About the RoleThe Vineyard Operator / Supervisor will work primarily across Adelaide Hills owned and managed vineyard sites, with some work in McLaren Vale as required. Its a hands-on role with varying seasonal tasks covering technical, machinery operation, manual tasks, supervision and maintenance duties to ensure our vineyard operations are performed in a timely manner to the highest quality outcome and attention to detail. In-house training can be provided if required.The role reports directly to the Vineyard Manager with key outputs being:Company vineyard machinery and manual operationsSeasonal and day to day vineyard repairs and maintenanceCompany vineyard technical servicesContractor supervision as requiredThe position is 5 days per week on a casual basis with some extended fragmented hours depending on seasonal workload. Pay and conditions are as per the Wine Industry Award.About YouThe Vineyard Operator will ideally have vineyard or farm experience in both manual and machinery operations.
