With over 5,000 staff and volunteers, we deliver services at more than 150 locations every day, including: Children''s Programs, Action Sports, Camps, Recreation, Youth Services, The Virtual Y and Kingswim.About the RoleReporting to the CFO this Senior Procurement position provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the group''s new procurement function, encompassing the full Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process, supplier management, contract negotiations, cost control, sourcing, compliance, and continuous improvement. The role is also responsible for managing the end-to-end processes for company credit and purchase cards, ensuring adherence to financial controls. Responsibilities include:Strategic Procurement Leadership; Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs, mitigate risks and improve operational efficiency.Purchasing; Monitor end-to-end systems and processes for purchasing functions at a site levelSourcing; Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans aligned with organizational goals and procurement policy.Accounts Payable Management; Oversee all accounts payable activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and creation of payment run reportsSupplier and Contract Management; Oversee the Onboarding, ongoing maintenance and Offboarding of suppliersTeam Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement; Lead, mentor and develop a high performing procurement team (approximately 4 staff in this new team)Risk and Compliance Management; Ensure all procurement and accounts payable activities comply with company policies, industry regulations and ethical standardsProcure - to Pay Systems; functional owner of the Procurement system (Medius) , continually driving process improvement and efficiency, utilising data to inform procurement decision making and reporting on procurement activitiesThis is a hybrid role based at our Box Hill Office and Working from Home (WFH), there will be a minimum requirement to be in the office a 1-2 days per week, subject to work requirements. There may also be a requirement to visit sites. The Remuneration for this role is $157,123 plus super.About YouThe preferred candidate will be an experienced procurement team leader with excellent communication, engagement and stakeholder management skills. You will be able to demonstrate your experience in developing procurement strategy, leading sourcing and market engagement processes, and continually driving procurement system and process improvements.Other requirements include:Expertise in Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes, strategic sourcing, and contract negotiation.Strong knowledge of procurement regulations, risk management, and compliance requirements.Proficiency in procurement software and data analytics tools to utilise data to identify trends and opportunities across the Procure-to-Pay process.Ability to drive cost savings, process efficiencies, and procurement excellence.Demonstrated experience in identifying and evaluating sourcing opportunitiesExperience in the oversight of managing corporate credit cards and purchase cards in a controlled and compliant manner.Qualifications RequiredBachelor''s degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.At the Y Victoria, we are committed to empowering all Children and Young People to feel safe and be safe.
