You will manage programs with growers, providing ongoing consultation on market conditions, quality standards, and relevant information to foster strong relationships with our clients businesses, brands, and end customers.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the grains industry, experience working with growers, and managing procurement programs including grower contracts. You should be a strong communicator, detail-oriented, and possess commercial acumen to ensure success for both yourself and the business.The role may include, but is not limited to:Engaging with transport providers, farmers, traders, and end usersDeveloping strategies to generate new business opportunities and implementing existing target market strategiesManaging existing accounts to meet sales and profit targetsContributing to the development of trading strategiesCandidates should ideally have:2-3 years of experience in agricultural trading or logistics, preferably in livestock, grains, or dairyA good understanding of the Australian grains industryBasic knowledge of demand and supply dynamics for agricultural commodities in AustraliaExperience with road or rail freight is a plusAbility to liaise effectively with producers, storage handlers, and transport operatorsStrong communication skills and the ability to build rapport quicklyTeam-oriented attitude suitable for a small team environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Tertiary qualifications in agribusiness are highly advantageousA valid drivers license and access to a vehicleThe successful candidate must be available for interstate travel, as the role focuses on respective state grain markets.This position requires maintaining positive relationships within the team, an assertive attitude, and a proactive approach to completing tasks.
