Home | Housing AustraliaAbout the roleReporting to the Executive Leader Help to Buy, this role is a key business role that has strategic oversight of the HTB Scheme to ensure delivery of Housing Australias Investment Mandate objectives and the Help to Buy Program Directions.The role will focus on:Efficient and effective delivery of the SchemeOverseeing the monitoring and analysis of the HTB portfolio to provide quality insights on performance, outliers and emerging trendsLead the HTB Product and Portfolio teamManage relationships with key stakeholders, particularly lenders and industry bodies, to ensure the success of HTBProviding support as 2IC to the Executive LeaderHelp to Buy is an upcoming product offering from Housing Australia. This role presents a unique opportunity to be part of the team responsible for shaping and launching this initiative from its inception.Key responsibilitiesProvide leadership support of HTB to support achievement of objectives and delivery of outcomesPromote, role model and hold people accountable for behaviours that align to Housing Australias values which underpin a strong, high performing cultureLead, develop and motivate the team, ensuring appropriate levels of capability and capacityDrive execution and delivery of any new initiativesOversee the application and in-life management processes, with responsibility for declining and recommending approval of decisions required to meet the Scheme program directions. Working closely with the Director, HTB OperationsBusiness owner of internal and lender facing Scheme documentationAct as HTB liaison with Housing Australia Legal teamBeing the Subject Matter Expert on Help to BuyOversee internal processes and operational Scheme requirementsSupport the maintenance of effective relationships and engagement with panel lendersMaintain strong partnerships with key stakeholders, including banks, government departments, and industry bodies.Drive data monitoring to identify insights on emerging trends and risksMonitor the portfolio against the broader market as well as performance monitoring of the SchemeResponsible for the Scheme adhering to all regulatory requirements of the program, through the oversight, design and management of the SchemePromote and model a culture of identifying and managing risksSkills and experienceTo be successful in this role, you will bring senior experience from the residential mortgage sector within financial services. Your background could include expertise in retail lending, mortgage broking, or retail banking product management at a senior level. You will have a strong understanding of the lending landscape, including financial institutions and borrowers, and how these areas intersect with public policy.
