All while staying committed to our member first ethos as a proud Industry Fund.About the roleThe Head of Operations Reporting is responsible for establishing and maintaining the reporting framework, processes, and governance arrangements for the Operations Division. This role supports the Divisions reporting to Executive and Board Committees, ensuring compliance with heightened regulatory requirements and meeting the increased expectations of the Board and Risk Committees for insightful and transparent reporting.Key responsibilities include planning, drafting, and reviewing papers in accordance with the Committee''s agenda and timetable. The role serves as the primary liaison between Operational Risk Forums and the Executive & Board Sub- Committees, requiring close collaboration with the Governance Team and Group Risk & Compliance.A key success factor is engaging with various stakeholders to understand reporting needs and providing support to the Chief Operating Officer and Operations Leadership Team to deliver enhanced governance and risk reporting to meet stakeholder expectations, so excellent stakeholder management skills are key for this role.In your role you will develop an Operations Division executive and board committee reporting framework to formally document the established processes to ensure consistency, timeframes are met and we meet our statutory obligations.You will be responsible to provide comprehensive and summarised reports for executive and board committees, ensuring all relevant information, consistent with their charters, agenda, statutory obligations as well as the committee and regulatory expectations.You will focus reporting of risks, issues and incidents into concise and actionable information to support risk-based decision making and effective oversight by executive & board committees.You will serve as the subject matter expert for risk reporting, advising Operations Leadership Team on report interpretations and assisting in the preparation of committee presentations, interacting with external auditors as required to discuss reporting methodologies and provide evidence of robust risk management practices.You will remain current with APRA prudential standards and other relevant legislative and regulatory requirements, ensuring the risk reporting framework is aligned to changing requirements.To be successful ideally you will have vast experience in operational risk, compliance, or assurance, preferably in financial services or superannuation, with a strong background in developing board-level reporting frameworks and reporting directly to Executives, Board Committees, and Boards.You will have In-depth working knowledge of APRA prudential standards with significant experience/knowledge of superannuation industry corporate governance, risk management, and compliance best practices.You will demonstrate exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) to engage and influence, with the ability to establish, build, and maintain collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and influence/negotiate change with senior stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.This is an excellent role with an opportunity to have a real impact and make a difference.Belong at CbusWe value difference, and embrace people with diverse backgrounds, experiences, gender identities, abilities and thinking styles.
