Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay rangeA$74,095.00/yr - A$86,506.00/yrThe office of Senator Fatima Payman is seeking applications for a full-time, ongoing Media and Communications Adviser (EOB) based in the Perth, WA, or Canberra.Position OverviewSenator Fatima Payman is seeking a Media and Communications Adviser to lead the delivery of her message to the people of Western Australia and beyond. As the leader of Australias Voice and a fearless advocate for justice, equality, and political integrity, Senator Payman is building a movement grounded in truth and representation and your job will be to help tell that story.This role is perfect for a digital-savvy communicator with sharp writing skills, creative flair, and a keen eye for detail. Youll craft everything from media releases, op-eds, and community newsletters to securing interviews across TV, radio, and print. Youll keep your finger on the pulse of the news cycle, providing timely media briefings to the Senator. Most importantly, youll help ensure Senator Paymans work, both in Parliament and on the ground, is visible, accessible, and amplified across all platforms.If you''re passionate about social justice, have a flair for storytelling, and want to help shape the voice of one of Australias most exciting political movements, this is the role for you.The key duties of the position include but are not limited to:Manage the end-to-end delivery of Senator Paymans communications across digital, print and media platforms.Draft and distribute regular e-newsletters, digital updates and print collateral to constituents and stakeholders.Ensure the Senators speeches, events, and community advocacy are amplified across local media and digital channels.Develop and maintain strong relationships with local and national media outlets.Provide communications briefings and media advice to the Senator and team, including on emerging issues and trends.Build a database of electorate insights to inform digital strategy and campaign messaging.Support the broader office in responding to constituent enquiries, including liaising with agencies and resolving issues.Contribute to a collaborative, agile and values-driven team culture.Perform other duties as required in a fast-paced, political office environment.Support and maintain a safe, respectful and inclusive workplace culture.Interstate travel may be required as directedAdditional working hours, particularly during parliamentary sitting weeks.The ideal applicant should possess the following skills, qualifications, and experience:Demonstrated experience designing and delivering digital communications strategies across multiple platforms.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to adapt messaging for different audiences.Proven experience working with media -
