The shire is a popular tourism destination with pristine beaches, rainforest retreats and hinterland hideaways.ABOUT THE ROLEPositionWe are offering an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and customer focussed individual to join our Community Facilities team.The position of Community Facilities Officer is responsible for providing high level customer service and administrative support for the efficient functioning of Councils community facilities. The role is diverse, involving liaising with customers, facility users and visitors to ensure their needs are met, assisting with set up and pack down of events, invoicing and other administrative tasks, and producing documents and updating our media platforms. You will also provide assistance in promoting the use of Councils community facilities and with the development and coordination of programs and events.Hours of work for this part time position are 21 hours per week to be worked in accordance with the Community Facilities roster requirements. Applicants should be available and willing to regularly work week days and evenings, and to provide relief support on weekends.The position would suit a sports minded person; you may be studying sports management or simply interested in pursuing a career in community facilities.
