The team provide specialist services for young people, children and families, adults, and older people. Community mental health services include a specialist Aboriginal Mental Health Team, bilingual mental health workers and Peer Support Workers. Our main sites are at Canterbury, Croydon, Camperdown, Marrickville, and Redfern Community Health Services. The role will be based at Croydon Health Centre.The Team Leader of the Adult Community Mental Health Core Team is responsible for the management and co-ordination of an integrated multi-disciplinary recovery oriented, trauma informed, and evidence based mental health team. This includes effective access and discharge procedures, rostering, operational and strategic planning.The Team Leader will build and maintain integrated care models and partnerships that will lead to improved health outcomes including closely liaising with all other teams within Mental Health to ensure coherent, effective, safe, evidence based, and equitable service delivery.For more information, please view the Position DescriptionIdeal CandidateCurrent NSW Drivers Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).Recognised qualification in Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Social Work or Clinical Psychology and current registration with AHPRA or eligibility for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers.Extensive clinical experience in mental health, and health service management including demonstrated advanced level practice and supervision skills; service planning; implementation; and evaluation.Extensive experience in contemporary community mental health and commitment to management and treatment of consumers with significant mental health issues and disabilities in a community setting including experience in application of the Mental Health Act and other relevant legislation.Benefits and Perks!Accrued Day Off each month, paid Parental Leave & Annual Leave loadingOpportunity for extra tax savings through Salary Packaging and Novated Leasing.
